Competes in the Daniel Perelman Memorial Tournament in Milwaukee. He doesn't place, but the experience becomes a turning point and motivates him to take chess more seriously.
January 10, 2026
Wins first place in his section at the Shorewood Hills Elementary Chess Championship.
March 7, 2026
Wins first place in his section at the Madison East Scholastic Tournament.
March 21-22, 2026
Places 13th in his section at the Wisconsin State Scholastic Chess Championship.
May 15-17, 2026
Competes at the U.S. Chess Federation National Championships and finishes in the top 24% of his section.
In less than a year, Lincoln has gone from joining his school's chess club to competing on the national stage. More importantly, he has learned that improvement comes from perseverance, practice, and a willingness to learn from every game.
