Support Lincoln
Deep in thought at the Madison East High School Scholastic, 2025
Lincoln's rating climbs a little with every match he plays. A year ago, he didn't know a single chess opening. His goal is to reach a 2000 rating, and he's chasing it one game at a time.
We're doing what we can to support him through chess camps, local tournaments, and opportunities to compete farther from home. Like many young players, though, more tournament experience and coaching can make a meaningful difference.
Help Lincoln Reach His Goal
A local Wisconsin tournament typically costs $25–45 to enter, while a major national championship costs $95–125 in entry fees alone. Lincoln is already committed to the National Middle School K–8 Championship in Round Rock, Texas, with nationals in Orlando and Columbus also on the horizon. His tournament entry fees this year total approximately $750.
Individual coaching sessions cost about $100 each, and travel to out-of-state tournaments, including airfare and lodging, can easily exceed $800 per trip.
Even a $5 contribution helps. Every dollar goes directly toward tournament entry fees, coaching, travel, equipment, and other expenses that help Lincoln continue competing and improving.
We're not a nonprofit. We're Lincoln's family sharing his chess journey and inviting others to be part of it. Contributions are voluntary and are not tax-deductible.
Thank you for following Lincoln's journey and cheering him on. Your encouragement means just as much as your support.
